I have learned so much this week and I haven’t felt this close to God ever in my life. In the great amount of time I get to spend in prayer and with the Lord I have found peace and freedom from the sin and distractions I once faced everyday. I feel unexplainable peace in the times when I get to lay in my hammock and play my guitar while taking in the beauty of God’s creation. God is moving so much in my life and the lives of those around me. It is overwhelming to hear all of the testimonies of my fellow squamates and try to comprehend all the good that God has been doing. I came to training camp still holding on to some worldly desires and I struggled with putting things before God. Now I see that setting my eyes on the Lord is what leads to prosperity. My desires are no longer set on worldly things that bear no fruit. I can’t wait to experience what God has planned in these next months!
